Even these words were written at midnight, after both of my babies had finally fallen asleep.
Before motherhood, I had big dreams and a successful career. Then I became a mother and realized how easily having children can make a woman feel left behind—professionally, financially, and personally.
But I desperately wanted to show my daughter a different example: that a woman can be a loving, present mother and still create, lead, succeed, and follow her dreams.
Over the years, I developed many ideas for beautiful, functional products that could make mothers’ lives easier—but among other responsibilities with two little cuties I never managed to bring those into live.
Until one day, I reached out to other talented moms. Together, we created Devko: a brand built by mothers, for mothers.
